Godzilla is definitely the year’s most anticipated movie for most people, but will it live up to the hype surrounding the movie? Of course it will, people have been waiting for a GOOD re-boot of Godzilla for ages. Godzilla is four years in the making and without a doubt is going to be the best Godzilla movie to date, visual wise that it, but does it story behind it, and characters to fall in love with then watch them die.

As the story opens in Japan, we find dedicated nuclear power plant manager Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) so caught up in his work that he forgets it’s his birthday. Sending his young son Ford off to school before reporting to the plant with his wife Sandra (Juliette Binoche), who works in the reactor, Joe begins to suspect that some suspiciously patterned seismic activity may be something more sinister than shifting tectonic plates He’s right, too, because when the plant goes into meltdown mode and Sandra gets caught on the wrong side of the containment door, a massive cover-up ensues.

15-years-later, Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has become a bomb-disposal expert in the U.S. military. He’s just returned home to his wife Elle (Elizabeth Olsen) and their son Sam (Carson Bolde) when he gets word that Joe been arrested in Japan. Long estranged from his father, who wrote off as a conspiracy theorist for his failed efforts to prove the Japanese government was attempting to hide something in the disaster, Ford nevertheless ventures to Japan to get him out of jail, and reluctantly agrees to join him in venturing to their old home in the quarantined zone. Subsequently taken into custody, the pair end up in the very plant where Joe used to work, and where scientists Dr. Ichiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) and Vivienne Graham (Sally Hawkins) are studying a massive cocoon-like structure that appears to feed on radiation. The situation turns critical when the events of the present begin to mirror the events of the past, and a terrifying winged-creature dubbed a “MUTO” is unleashed. Meanwhile, as the military attempts to devise a plan to destroy the beast, signals indicate that it had been calling out to something before it broke free, and the scientists learn that it has awoken a towering, godlike leviathan that has lied dormant for centuries, and may be mankind’s only hope for restoring the balance of nature.

The film remain to the origin of Godzilla and the film will contain two monsters in addition to Godzilla. Gareth Edward is on as director, he’s known for him work on Monster (2010) and In the Shadow of the Moon (2007). Godzilla is his biggest project thus far with a $160 million budget. Ever trailer that has been release is epic, I didn’t think we would get a full look at Godzilla in the trailers though. Godzilla without a doubt going to be one of the biggest movies of the summer, maybe even the year and hopefully there will be sequels in the future.

It opens this Friday May 16 and I’m going to see it on Saturday with my brother, I advice you to grab a friend or two because this movie should not be missed, but before what do you think of the trailer comment your thoughts and what are you most excited for to see in the movie?

-Have a good one.

Movie Update

Power Rangers remake!!!!

image

Its been a while since I posted about movie, sorry I’ve been reading a lot. But I heard there is going to be a Power Rangers remake. I didn’t read much into it but I think Michael Bay is directing so lets take a second for all the haters to voice there unwanted opinion…….

I literally was thinking there should do a remake of Power Rangers a couple weeks ago, the franchise is in need of a reboot. I know everyone is going to say-again-that Michael Bay is ruining there childhood, by destroying these awesome shows that we grew up with, but he’s not. I’m not going to lie the last Transformers movie that came out sucked, and I cant wait to see the new TMNT movie.
Have you ever thought that these re-make/re-boot movie isn’t for us but for the younger generation who don’t know about Transformers, TMNT, Power Rangers etc?

Another movie I want to talk about is Gone Girl. I already read the book so I know how it ended but not a lot of people was happy with the way it did end so the movie is going to have a alternative ending. I thought the movie was going to be a bit “Lifetimey” but the trailer proved me wrong. The Trailer is fantastic, and just so you know, Nick didn’t kill his wife isn’t that obvious, Come on people think a little. I cant wait to see this movie, for those who haven’t read the book, its going to take you on a crazy rollercoaster and its going to the same for those who have read the book.

I saw that there is going to be a Justice League movie, finally move over Avengers. I’m so sick of Marvel like every month a new marvel superhero movie comes out. Although I’m pumped up for X-Men Days of Future Past. Also a David and Goliath movie is in the works.

The last thing I want to say is where is my Mockingjay trailer??? I’m freaking out not being able to see a teaser trailer, and I have a question where does Mockingjay part 1 ends?

It feels like I’ve missed so much in the movie world these pass couple weeks. Which movie updates are you most excited about.?
